Welcome to all you families that
have decided to homeschool your children! What an
exciting journey you are about to embark on! We are glad
that you have decided to join us on this homeschool
journey during the 2009-2010 school year. SHIELD is a
support group in which you can choose to participate as
much or as little as you desire. We offer opportunities
for both parents and students to be involved in
activities that will support your academic, spiritual,
and social lives. Please take advantage of some of these
opportunities this year.
SHIELD is not a third option accountability
group. We want you to be clear on the fact that
membership in SHIELD does not fulfill the third option
requirements for legally home schooling in the state of
South Carolina. Please read the
SC homeschool law so that you are aware of your
options.
